It seems that blogs are taking over the world and if you really want your website to get ahead in the online game then you should have a strong blog page within your website. There are various search engine optimisation tools available to help you build a blog page that will impress and one of the most popular of these is the WordPress Insights plug-in. The majority of people will use WordPress for their blogs anyway, so using this plug-in seems like a natural progression and will really make a difference. Before you dismiss the idea of yet another tool to add to your collection, consider the many benefits which Insights has to offer.
Out of the hundreds of SEO tools out there, Insights really is one of the most valuable in terms of creating solid content. Insights makes your blogs work harder for you so they are much more productive. This also gives them a much better status and quality level which can be extremely beneficial when your blogs are appearing within SERP’s.
One of the most fantastic features on Insights is that it allows you to do various things in real time and literally within the space of a few seconds. These include uploading videos, images and maps, searching Google and Wikipedia and searching within your own blog pages to enable you to locate specific posts and edit them where necessary. The internal searching function is probably the most useful, particularly if you want to link certain pages in particular to your plug-in. Rather than search for your page in a new web browser, Insights will simply take you to it almost instantly.
When it comes to including images and videos within our blogs pages, we all know how effective this can be in terms of improving searches. If you are looking for a generic photo or video to tie in with a caption or topic, then you can simply type the phrase into the Insights search box and it will find the most suitable for you. At present Insights uses Flickr to locate any generic images which does work well, however there are rumours that we will soon be able to search Google Images with Insights which will no doubt make this plug-in even more appealing.
It is not just eye catching and appealing pictures you can use Insights for, it can also be used to help with backing up quotes or resources which is particularly good if you are discussing a very detailed topic. Insights enables you to search topics from Wikipedia and also include a link back to the page within your blog, which is really good for getting more out of your blog post but requires less work on your part, offering search engine optimization benefits at the same time.
Of course, all the features of the Insights Plugin are nothing you cannot do yourself. The major difference is however, that Insights can do all this within the click of a button which can save you hours, days or even weeks depending on the extent of the information you are looking to include.
